Häffner BikeTeam with TOP performances at Cyclassics 2018 in Hamburg

Since 1996 the EuroEyes CYCLASSICS offer an opportunity for cyclist fans to take in some “professional air”. And the event has long since developed into a modern classic. On the same course that some of the world´s best cyclists have already taken on, every year about 18.000 participants compete with each other – supported by 650.000 spectators. Through the cordoned-off city center of Hamburg the course leads past landmarks like the Elbphilharmonie, Reeperbahn etc. With distances of 60km, 100km and 160km there is a suitable challenge for everyone – from cycling beginners to die-hard bike veterans.

Top team, top atmosphere, top performances
Of course we as well wouldn´t pass up this event. Yet again, the Häffner BikeTeam participated at the cycling festival – and yet again with top performances! Special emphasis should be placed on team leader Nicole Lörcher. With a time of 01h28 she sealed herself a phenomenal 10th place in the overall ranking of women. But also the rest of the team obtained impressive results. Besides the “old racing hand” Steffen Lörcher who exceeded all expectations on the 160km track at 04h12min, 100km rookie Hubert Posch was also very convincing with a more than respectable time of 03h7min on his course. Congratulations go as well to the team that gave an outstanding performance on the 60km course and could secure place 40 in the thickly sown field of 102 teams.

The fruits of hard work
These excellent results are the well-deserved cherry on top of the joint training sessions of the last months. Relentlessly and with the permanent goal in front of them, not a single opportunity was passed up to pedal. And the future of the Häffner BikeTeam is promising as well as it enjoyed further growth via motivated and ambitious cyclists out of various departments. Staff members from our office and field service – from storage to shipping, IT and drivers take care that our team is in a better position than ever before.

The next challenge is already waiting! Just a few days after the successful race in Hamburg the team is keeping their fingers crossed for the two top candidates Nicole and Steffen Lörcher during the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon 2018. Here´s to performances that will be hopefully just as great!
