Exploring the Far East – Häffner establishes purchasing office in China

The Chinese chemicals market has grown strongly in recent years. Experts also forecast constant growth for the coming years, especially in the petrochemical and basic chemical sectors. In May 2019, Häffner established the first local purchasing office with its own staff in Shanghai in order to take account of this development and further expand its commitment to the Chinese market on the procurement side.

In May 2019, the first purchasing office of Häffner GmbH & Co. KG. will start its activities in the People’s Republic of China. The main task is to strengthen the Häffner Group’s presence in the Asian markets through its own personnel with local roots. The aim is to tap more direct sources of supply for existing products and for specific customer enquiries in order to further expand the network and product diversity. At the same time, the new structure simplifies the planning and execution of standardized supplier audits on site in order to ensure a consistent level of quality for our customers.
